A few weeks back we made a Facebook post asking "why isn't the death penalty executed against Sabbath breakers". Sadly, many misunderstood our post; thinking we were blood-thirsty, self-righteous "you-know-whats". However we were hoping to get everyone to THINK more deeply about the Word of Yahuwah.
Now many expectantly replied, "mercy", "long-suffering", "we aren't in the land", "they will eventually…yada yada yada”. What good is a Law IIF there are no immediate negative consequence(s) for violating said Law?! It's like a parent constantly threatening a child but never punishing the child for their unruly behavior!
Nearly all of us tell the Christian world that Yahuwah's Laws/Commandments are still in effect (especially the Sabbath); therefore, if His Laws are still in full effect then WHY aren't the PUNISHMENTS for breaking His Laws still in full effect?! Folks you can't have one without the other! When the brother was caught breaking Sabbath; what did Yah instruct Moses to do?! Did Yah say, “Don’t worry about it Moses, I’ll take care of it later in the Day of Judgment.”?!
"Now while the children of Yahshar'el were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day. And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron....Then Yahuwah said to Moses, 'The man must surely be put to death....So, as Yahuwah commanded Moses, all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones and he died." -Numbers 15:32-36
"You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death....Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death." --Exodus 31:14-15
"For I am Yahuwah, I DO NOT change...." --Malachi 3:6
So if I understand them correctly, then Yah HAS CHANGED! He has changed His mind regarding the said punishment for breaking Sabbath! Scripture says 'surely die'! Does surely mean 'sho nuff'?! Does everyone mean every body?!
Know and understand that we too agree, that the Law of Yahuwah is still in effect; however it is still in effect ONLY WITH THOSE OF WHOM HE HAS A COVENANT WITH AND WE BROKE THE COVENANT AGREEMENT!!
So the answer to our Facebook post is ("Y isn't the 'death penalty' [for breaking Sabbath] executed against our 'lost' brothers/sisters?!") because we are no longer in Covenant with Yahuwah! Now for my "advanced students" who may say that only the Northern Kingdom was divorced not the Southern Kingdom (Yahudah, Benyahmin & Levi). Technically speaking that is true; however, the Southern Kingdom proved themselves to be just as rebellious and ultimately unfaithful too.
"And I said, after [the Northern Tribes of Yahshar'el] had done all these things, Return to Me; but she did not return….Then I saw that for all the causes for which the backsliding [Northern Kingdom] had committed adultery, I put her away and gave her a certificate of divorce...and yet for all this her treacherous sister [the Southern Tribes of Yahshar'el] had not turned to Me with her whole heart, but in pretense' says Yahuwah. Then Yahuwah said to me, '[The] backsliding [Northern Kingdom] has shown herself more righteous than [the] treacherous [Southern Kingdom of Yahudah, Benyamin and Levi]'." --Jeremiah 3:7-11
"And Yahuwah said unto me, a conspiracy is found among the men of Yahudah...They are turned back to the sins of their forefathers, which refused to hear My words and they went after other gods to serve them; the House of Yahshar'el and the House of Yahudah have broken My Covenant which I made with their fathers. Therefore thus saith Yahuwah, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape and though they shall cry unto Me, I will not hearken unto them." --Jeremiah 11:9-11
Now you can continue to lie to yourself about your standing with Yahuwah all you like; but there are two undeniable facts:
#1) ALL of Yahshar'el broke the Covenant agreement and were removed from the Land
#2) Realizing / waking up to our heritage DOES NOT re-establish the broken Covenant
We believe it is this assumption that we are still in ‘good standing’ with Yahuwah simply because of birthright and/or observing a FALSE Satur-day Sabbath Day that has brought upon the ‘Spirit of Laodicea’ amongst many of our awakened brothers/sisters! Awakening to our heritage DOES NOT make you ‘elected’ or chosen! You have simply answered your calling!
"Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure...." --2 Peter 1:10
"For many are called, but FEW ARE CHOSEN." --Matthew 22:14
And to be ‘chosen’ is to be counted among the ‘elect’! So how does one ‘confirm’ their calling??
"Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, I know Him and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of Yahuwah is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. " --1 John 2:3-5
"Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, I do not know Him, I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word." --John 8:55
"Hallow My Sabbaths and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am Yahuwah your Eloah." --Ezekiel 20:20
So why did Messiah tell them He did not know them?? He knows you not, because you have not loved Him by obeying His Commandments and/or observing His Sabbaths!
Now we all know and universally agree regarding the obedience of His Laws primarily surmised in the 10 Commandments. However our divisions are revealed when we come to the 4th Command regarding Sabbath observance! The Christians claim Sun-day, while the Jews, Hebrews and Seventh Day Adventist's claim Satur-day. They are all wrong!!
IIF you are still observing a Satur-day only Sabbath, believe it or not; but you are STILL breaking ALL of Yah's Sabbaths!! We have further proved that the observance of a repeating, never-ending 7-day (Satur-day) Sabbatical cycle cannot possibly be true in our article entitled The Lesser / Forgotten Feast!!
It is paramount, that you know and understand Yahshar’el; we have ALL been 'divorced' from Yah and once divorced, one is no longer required to abide by the conditions of the 'marriage Covenant'. Yah's Laws/Sabbaths are His 'conditions' for Covenant and each individual must make his/her own return unto Him thru repentance and obedience to His Laws/Sabbaths! And once the 'blood sacrifice' of Yahushuwah the Messiah, is applied to one's life thru faith in Him; then each one can be fully restored unto Yah via the New Covenant!
Now sadly of course, there are some of our people, who falsely believe that the New Covenant has been established with us but I disagree. Now I will admit that it CAN BE established with us; however, IT HAS NOT!
"Behold, the days are coming, says Yahuwah, when I will make a New Covenant with the House of Yahshar'el and with the House of Yahudah not according to the Covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My Covenant which they broke, though I was a Husband to them, says Yahuwah. But this is the Covenant that I will make with the House of Yahshar'el after those days, says Yahuwah; I will put My Law in their minds and write it on their hearts and I will be their Eloah and they shall be My people. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says Yahuwah. For I will forgive their iniquity and their sin I will remember no more." --Jeremiah 31:31-33
Does ANY of that sound like the day and age in which we are now living?! Of course not!! We broke the Covenant and are now living under the curses! I urge each of you to return unto Yahuwah by obeying His Laws and His TRUE Sabbath Days (as outlined in our 3-part study The Restored Sabbatical Cycle ) so that when His Two Witnesses return and begin Judgment against us again; that you shall be found in His Will and not counted amongst the wicked who shall suffer thru the Great Tribulation!!
Scripture demonstrates that the New Covenant was established with Messiah and the disciples and maybe a few other Yahshar’elites during that time. However, they were the First Fruits ‘Spring Harvest’ of the New Covenant and that prophetic time period has passed and we are or shall be a part of the Last Days ‘Fall Harvest’. The New Covenant cannot and will not be established with us until the Two Witnesses arrive; which will not commence until the Great Tribulation begins!
"And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations and then the end will come." --Matthew 24:14
It was NOT the disciples of Messiah, nor Paul, nor the Christians who are to ‘witness’ to all the nations but the Two Witnesses of Yahuwah who shall preach the ‘good news’ of the Kingdom of Yahuwah throughout the world!
"And I will give power to My two witnesses and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days (42 months/3 ½ years), clothed in sackcloth." -Revelation 11:3
"And they asked Him, saying, 'Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?'. Then He answered and told them, 'Indeed, Elijah is coming first and restores all things'." --Mark 9:11-12
We believe that the arrival of the Two Witnesses shall coincide with the commencement of the Great Tribulation. It is no coincidence that both events are prophesied to continue for 42 months / 3 ½ years.
"...and [The Beast] was given authority to continue for forty-two months...It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them...." --Revelation 13:5-7
"The holy people will be delivered into his hands for [3 1/2 years]." --Daniel 7:25
"And the Dragon was enraged with the Woman and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of Yahuwah and have the testimony of Yahushuwah." --Revelation 12:17
Additionally, it is no coincidence that the 'chosen' shall be taken to a 'place of safety' for a period of 1,260 days/42 months/3 ½ years.
"Now when the Dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for [42 months], from the presence of the serpent....Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by Yahuwah, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days[42 months/ 3 ½ years]." --Revelation 12:13-14, 6
We proclaim that the Great Tribulation shall be judgment against disobedient Yahshar’elites and the Day Of Yahuwah shall be judgment/punishment against the whole world! Understand Yahshar'el, once the 2 Witnesses show up 'judgment' upon Yahshar'el will have officially begun again!
"After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes...Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, 'Who are these arrayed in white robes and where did they come from'? And I said to him, 'Sir, you know' So he said to me, 'These are the ones who come out of the Great Tribulation and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb'." --Revelation 7:9-14
"For the time has come for judgment to begin at the House of Yahuwah and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of Eloah?" --1 Peter 4:17
"For many are called, but few are chosen." --Matthew 22:14
We broke the Covenant agreement and are currently living 'under the curses' and during this time Yah has essentially 'suspended' judgment upon us; that is why you and our other brothers/sisters can continue to break His Sabbaths and still live to see another day! However, this violation of Yah’s Sabbaths shall NOT go unpunished!
"I will go and return to My Place, till they acknowledge their offence and seek My Face; in their affliction they will seek Me early." --Hosea 5:15
We believe the 'affliction' spoken of here is referring to 'The Time of Jacob's Trouble' also known as The Great Tribulation!
"In those days and in that time [after the Great Tribulation], says Yahuwah, The Children of Yahshar'el shall come, they and the Children of Yahudah together; with continual weeping they shall come and seek Yahuwah their Eloah. They shall ask the way to Zion, with their faces toward it, saying, 'Come and let us join ourselves to Yahuwah in a perpetual covenant that will not be forgotten'." --Jeremiah 50:4-5
“Therefore fear thou not, O My servant Ya’akov saith Yahuwah, neither be dismayed, O Yahshar’el for lo, I will save thee from afar and thy seed from the land of their captivity and Yahshar’el shall return and shall be in rest and peace and none shall make him afraid. For I am with thee, saith Yahuwah, to save thee. Though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee; yet I will not make a full end of thee. But I will correct thee in measure and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.” --Jeremiah 30:10-11
Now our opponents may point to the actions of Messiah regarding the woman who was ALLEGED to have committed adultery......
"Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery....they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses, in the Law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him...He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”....Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one...When Yahushuwah had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Yahushuwah said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more." --John 8:3-1
1. Messiah never said, "Oh forget about it, the Law is done away with, now that I am here!"
2. This was never really about punishment for adultery (as Scripture told us this was primarily done to make an accusation/trap against Messiah! Her husband could have caused her to commit adultery thru his actions [Matthew 5:32])
3. He agreed that the woman should be stoned; however He specified that only a sinless man/woman could get the stoning underway!
"The man who commits adultery with another man’s wife...the adulterer and the adulteress, shall surely be put to death." --Leviticus 20:10
4. Where was the man with whom she committed adultery with?? Is it fair to only stone/punish the woman?!
"Think not that I am come to destroy the Law, or the prophets; I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." --Matthew 5:17
5. He told the woman to "go and sin no more"; therefore once again we must obey the Law! Messiah did not nor can He change the Laws of Yahuwah! So the Law was still in effect and the punishment for breaking it!
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me. Because you have forgotten the Law of your Eloah, I also will forget your children...I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your wives when they commit adultery for the men themselves go with whores and they sacrifice with harlots..." --Hosea 4:6,14
6. So is Hosea 4:6,14, the REAL reason Messiah did not allow the stoning of the ‘adulterous woman’?! Not because the punishments for breaking the Law have been suspended but because Yahuwah said that He would ‘repay’ the unfaithfulness (towards Him) of the men by not punishing the women and daughters! Again as I mentioned above, it may have well been; that her husband was more ‘treacherous’ than her! So to assume, that this had something to do with the Christian concept of grace; is a pretty big and unsubstantiated leap!
Therefore any one or all of those reasons may have been why Messiah did not allow the woman to be stoned! And unto those who like to point to the example of the 'adulterous wife'; I must also point out the following Scriptures.….
"And that servant, which knew his Master's will and prepared not himself, neither did according to His will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But HE THAT KNEW NOT and DID commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes..." --Luke 12:47-48
So clearly this notion of breaking Yah's Laws shall somehow go unpunished is false! You do realize one can be forgiven and STILL PUNISHED, right?! Ignorance of the Law/Sabbaths WILL NOT grant you a ‘pardon’! You will be judged AND PUNISHED IIF you break Yah’s Laws and Sabbaths!! The only difference is whether or not you get a few ‘lashes’ or many!
"For as many as have sinned without Law will also PERISH WITHOUT LAW and as many as have sinned in the Law will be judged by the Law; for NOT the HEARERS of the Law are just in the sight of Eloah, but the DOERS of the Law WILL BE JUSTIFIED." --Romans 2:12-13
Remember Sabbath breaking is punishable BY DEATH!! Folks it don’t get more serious than the death penalty! Yes, our PAST sins can be covered thru faith in the shed blood of Yahushuwah Messiah; however, FIRST one must repent before they can be reconciled unto Yahuwah!! And to repent is to STOP BREAKING THE SABBATH / LAWS of Yahuwah! However, how can one stop doing something that they refuse to acknowledge that they are doing?! They can't!! Which brings us back to our previous Scripture!
"And that servant...that KNEW NOT and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes..." --Luke 12:47-48
"...[But] how shall they [obey that which] they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?" --Romans 10:14
And that is why we are here! It is clear that our mission is to warn and awaken those of us in these 'last days' to the TRUE Sabbath of Yahuwah that when He sends forth His Two Witnesses to gather His people that you may be found in His Will not trampling His Holy Days!
"But he that knew not [the TRUE Sabbath day or the Laws of Yahuwah]….shall [STILL] be beaten..." --Luke 12:48
"For as many as have sinned without Law will also PERISH WITHOUT LAW..." --Romans 2:12
I dunno, maybe they are a 'tough guy/girl' and would rather take their 'few stripes' as opposed to changing their ways/traditions? Maybe, just maybe 'the stripes' won't really hurt at all!
