The Biblical Calendar

Updated: Sep 26, 2022

According to SCRIPTURE not the musings or reasoning of man!

Know and understand, we do not ascribe to nor teach Lunar observance however our Calendars are nearly identical in layout.

A YEAR (There are 12 Months in a year):

"And Solomon had twelve governors over all Yahshar'el...each one made provision for one month of the year." --1 Kings 4:7

"In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month..."--Revelation 22:2

A MONTH (Each Month has 30 days):

"When the sun rises in the heaven, he comes forth through that fourth portal THIRTY mornings in succession…." --Enoch 72:8-9

“In the 600th year of Noah’s life, in the 2nd month, the 17th day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up and the windows of heaven were opened.” --Genesis 7:11

“And the waters prevailed on the earth one hundred and fifty days.” --Genesis 7:24

“…At the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters decreased. Then the ark rested in the 7th month, the 17th day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat.” --Genesis 8:3-4

Scripture tells us that the rain begin to fall upon the earth on the 17th day of the 2nd Month and that it rained for 150 days straight; ending on the 17th day of the 7th Month. Thereby indicating, that 5 months on Yah’s calendar consisted of 150 days; exactly 30 days per month.

4 SEASONS (Seasonal Transition Day every 3 Months/13 weeks/91 days):

“And they placed them on the heavenly tablets, each had thirteen weeks; from one to another…from the first (season) to the second (season) and from the second to the third and from the third to the fourth." --Jubilees 6:29-30

“Four conductors...who separate the 4 quarters of the year. After these, 12 conductors of their classes, who separate the months and the year into 364 days…who distinguish between the days, as well as between the four additional ones; which as conductors, divide the four….all the days of his influence, during which he rules, are 91 days….All the days of his light are 91 days...” --Enoch 81:11-20

To summarize, the year is comprised of 12 Months. Each Month contains 30 days. At the end of every 3 Months there is a 'Seasonal Transition Day'; we have a total of 4 within the year. Each Seasonal Transition Day marks the end of a season. Each season lasts 13 complete weeks / 91 days / 3 months (30+30+30+1). And those 4 seasons gives us 52 weeks or 364 days.

Now this is where NEARLY ALL stop (with a 364 day calendar); HOWEVER Enoch CLEARLY defines/describes 'Equilux Day' to be the last day of the Calendar year!

New Years Day (after observing equal day/night)

“…On that day, the day is equalized with the night and becomes of equal length…On [the] day, [that] the night decreases and amounts to nine parts and the day to nine parts and the night is equal to the day, [then] the year is exactly as to its days three hundred and sixty-four.” --Enoch 72:20,32-33

Nearly EVERYONE assumes / forces this day to occur on day 364 which is ACTUALLY the last 'seasonal transition day' of the year!! IT IS A SEPARATE AND DISTINCT DAY OF IT'S OWN! Now that is NOT to say that Equilux Day could NOT occur on the last seasonal transition day of the year; however WE MUST NOT FORCE IT! Equilux Day is determined by OBSERVATION and our observations have determined that it occurs AFTER the seasonal transition day; thereby giving us a 365 day Calendar which perfectly matches our current solar cycle!

Why is that important?!

Any one who has studied and/or observed a Lunar Calendar will tell you that one of, IIF not the biggest issue regarding it, is that the lunar cycle is approximately 11 days shorter than the solar cycle! Subsequently you experience a 'drifting' of the seasons by as many as 11 days each year; which gets progressively worse as the years pass! Basically, your 'spring months' will begin to 'drift' into the winter season. The same would be true for anyone who observes a 360 or 364 day calendar (it will just take more time for the diff to be noticeable)! Therefore they are all forced to add a few 'extra' days and a 'leap' month/year in order to stay somewhat in sync with the solar cycle; so that their New Years Day will still occur within the Spring as hinted within the so-called 'Old Testament' with the word Abib (Deuteronomy 16:1, Exodus 13:4, 23:15, 334:18).

Now when we add Equilux Day (the last observed day of the calendar year) to the aforementioned we arrive at 365 days per year, perfectly aligned with our solar cycle (no leap months/year needed)!!

Lastly, according to Scripture, there is essentially 3 different Sabbaths:

Weekly Sabbath: Occurring every 7th day AFTER New Month Day. With the exception of the 1st and 7th Months the Weekly Sabbath always falls upon the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th days of each Month.

Monthly Sabbath: Occurs every 1st day of each Month (New Month Day: Deuteronomy 16:1; Psalm 81:3-4; Numbers 10:1-10, 28:11-15; Ezra 3:5, Nehemiah 10:32-34, Amos 8:5; Ezekiel 45:17, 46:1-3; 2 Kings 4:23; Isaiah 1:13-15, 66:22-23; Hosea 2:11; Jubilees 6:23,29-31)

Yearly Sabbaths: The Yearly Sabbaths are known as the Feast / High Holy Days as defined by Yahuwah in Exodus and Leviticus (1st/7th day Unleavened Bread, Pentecost/Feast of Shabuwa, Day of Atonement, 1st/8th day of Feast of Tabernacles/Booths)
