"Then the Kingdom of Heaven shall be likened to ten maidens who took their lamps and went out to meet the Bridegroom. Now five of them were wise and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps but took no oil with them; but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps."
--Matthew 25:1-4
This is one of Messiah's most popular parables amongst the Christians and while most will focus on trying to interpret the symbols; they all continue to overlook that this parable is actually prophetic! Well today, we shall not only interpret the symbols but give you the prophetic warning Yahushuwah left for us!
There has been a lot of debate as to what the ‘oil’ in this parable actually represents. Most would tell you that it represents the Set-Apart Spirit; however, there are others who would point out that you cannot ‘buy’ any of the gifts of Yah as they are freely given to whomever He desires. Yet I would caution us all not to get too literal in our attempts to explain the parables.
Now with that being said, we cannot say with any absolute certainty what the oil represents in this parable; however I do not believe that the Set-Apart Spirit is a viable option. Why you ask?? The foolish apparently started out with some oil; but soon realized they did not have enough to continue the journey (verse 8). The foolish then asked the wise to 'share' with them. The foolish then left and returned with some oil (verse 10) yet they were still denied entry into the wedding ceremony (verse 12). As a matter of fact, not only were they denied entry but Messiah says to them, 'I do not know you'. So how can one have Yah's Spirit, then 'lose' it, turn around and go 'buy'/get it again and yet still not be known to the Son?? Therefore this scenario does not fit with our understanding of Scripture and the Set-Apart Spirit.
"Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path...The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand." --Psalm 119:105,130
Scenario #1 Oil = Faith
Now amongst the most popular theories, I would have to go with the one of the oil being representative of one's faith. Notice, both groups had lamps and in this scenario, we believe the lamp would be representative of the Word of Yah as referenced in Psalm 119:105 above. Notice how they ALL were waiting on the return of the Bridegroom with their lamps (Bibles in hand).
Scenario #2 Oil = Scriptural Wisdom
Now the scenario that I primarily endorse, is one wherein the lamp is still representative of the Words of Yah and the oil is representative of one's understanding/knowledge of His Word. Again, they ALL were waiting on the return of the Bridegroom with their lamps (Scripture) but the wise had extra oil (additional knowledge/wisdom) and the foolish only had what was within their lamps (limited knowledge).
"But while the Bridegroom was delayed, they ALL slumbered and slept." --Matthew 25:5
Everyone nowadays in our community are always proclaiming that they are 'woke'! So why does Scripture describe us ALL as 'being asleep'?? Yes, a few of us are 'woke', when it comes to recognizing the devices / evidences of white supremacy that still exist in our society. However, how many of us are truly 'woke' when it comes to recognizing the Biblical 'signs of the times'?? How many even still care??
"And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says; ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand and seeing you will see and not perceive. For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing and their eyes they have closed. Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them'. But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear." --Matthew 13:14-16
Clearly, Messiah was referring to our level of awareness regarding spiritual matters and/or I believe more specifically, regarding prophecy! Most Yahshar'elites don't even speak / teach on prophecy! They cannot tell you where we are on Yah's Prophetic Timeline?! Most probably aren't even aware that there is a definitive timeline within prophecy! How can this be, when Yah promised to reveal His 'secrets' unto us?!
"Surely Yahuwah Elohim does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the Prophets."
--Amos 3:7
Well we are here to tell/teach you what the others can't or won't! We are the true Watchman Of Yah; who hears His warnings and faithfully pass them onto you. So wake up my people, he is near the door!
"And at midnight a cry was heard; 'Behold, the Bridegroom is coming; go out to meet Him'!" --Matthew 25:6
So who was the one making the 'cry at midnight'?? Notice he tells the maidens to 'go out to meet Him'; so clearly it is not the Messiah Himself who is making the call but another.
"In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying, 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!' For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying; 'the voice of one crying in the wilderness, prepare the way of the Lord.." --Matthew 3:1-4
We believe and teach that it shall be the Prophet EliYahu most famously known as Elijah. EliYahu shall arrive, along with a 2nd Witness, and he shall gather a small group of Firstfruits to be taken to a place of safety during the 3 & 1/2 year Great Tribulation period.
"And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell and buy for yourselves.’ " --Matthew 25:8-10
Now this where 'the oil' gets tricky for nearly every interpretation of it's meaning; however, that is only if you continue with a strict/literal interpretation. Example, if you say the oil is the Set-Apart Spirit, then how can one 'split' the spirit to give unto another?? If you say the oil is faith; again how can one share it with another and then not have 'enough' left for themselves?? If you teach the oil is wisdom as I, then you can definitely share it; however, not so much so that you take it away from yourself! Therefore, I say again, we must be careful not to get too literal/strict in the analysis of any single interpretation.
Scenario #1 Oil = Faith
Notice when the ‘call’ was given to go out to meet the Bridegroom, they realized they had very little oil (faith) to continue the journey. So they begin to ask the wise for some of their oil (the reason for their faith); but they could not afford to tarry and explain the Scriptures unto them and advised them to go unto those who sell (teachers of the Word) to help build up their faith.
Scenario #2 Oil = Scriptural Wisdom
Therefore in this scenario, both clearly had the Scriptures (lamps) that testify that Messiah would return as promised; however, when the ‘call’ was given to go out to meet Him, the foolish was lacking understanding (oil) as to what was taking place (ie. the Hebrew Wedding Ceremony). So they begin to ask the wise for some of their understanding (oil); but they could not afford to tarry and explain the Scriptures unto them and thusly advised them to go unto those who sell (teachers of the Word) to get understanding of the Scriptures.
The following verses in Psalms further supports our theory that the Scriptures are our lamps and the oil is our understanding of the Word which lights our paths!!
"Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path...The teaching of your word gives light, so even the [foolish] can understand." --Psalm 119:105,130
Just as the oil gives light to the lamp; so does understanding of the Word gives light/life to the Scriptures! As we stated above, the foolish will be unaware that EliYahu must come first BEFORE the Great Tribulation is to begin and that their (the 2 Witnesses) ministry shall last throughout the 3 1/2 year Great Tribulation period! Therefore when EliYahu arrives and advises the elect / Firstfruits to go out to meet the Messiah in the wilderness; they shall not believe (lacking faith and/or understanding) and require/look for 'a sign' to confirm all these things. The wise shall instruct the foolish to go unto teachers of the Word to gain an understanding regarding the events that will be taking place. Unfortunately, by the time the foolish gain understanding and begin to practice the things we teach, it will be too late as the door will be closed and they will have to endure until the end of the Great Tribulation period!
"And while they went to buy, the Bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with Him to the wedding and the door was shut. Afterward the other bridesmaids came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But He answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you'." --Matthew 25:11-12
As we said earlier, too much focus has been placed upon understanding/interpreting the symbols but the most important thing, I believe, is to understand why the foolish were left behind!! None of us want to be 'left behind'; so it is paramount that we understand why Messiah will deny half of those, who are aware of and awaiting His coming?!
"If you love Me, keep My commandments." --John 14:15
"He who has My commandments and observes them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father and I will love him and reveal Myself to him." --John 14:21
"....showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and observe My commandments."
--Exodus 20:6
"Speak also to the children of Yahshar'el saying; ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am Yahuwah who sanctifies you." --Exodus 31:13
"Hallow My Sabbaths and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am Yahuwah your El." --Ezekiel 20:20
"Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, I know Him and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of Yahuwah is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. " --1 John 2:3-5
"Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, I do not know Him, I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word." --John 8:55
So why did Messiah tell them He did not know them?? He knows you not, because you have not loved Him by obeying His Commandments and/or observing His Sabbaths!
Now we all know and universally agree regarding the obedience of His Laws primarily surmised in the 10 Commandments. However our divisions are revealed when we come to the 4th Command regarding Sabbath observance! The Christians claim Sun-day, while the Jews, Hebrews and Seventh Day Adventist's claim Satur-day. They are all wrong!!
"....And ALL the Children of Yahshar'el will forget….the Months and Seasons and Sabbaths….and walk according to the feasts of the Gentiles after their error and after their ignorance." --Jubilees 6:34-36
You cannot, you will not, ever, ever observe Yah's true Sabbaths following a Pagan Calendar!! You must observe the only Biblical Calendar ever given to us as defined within the Book Of Enoch and Book Of Jubilees. Now you should all know and understand exactly why the Europeans 'banned' the Book Of Enoch; they will give you one or more of a couple of reasons primarily citing it's authenticity, so-called contradictions and lastly, supposedly sensationalized stories regarding the fallen angels. Disregard all of those lies; the primary reason it was not included in their canon is because of it's revelation that 'white-skinned' humans (excluding Black Albinos) were the product of angelic and human intermingling! If you haven't already be sure to check out our series on the Serpent Seed.
We are fully aware that observing the Sabbath as outlined within in our teaching; in accordance with the instructions given to us in the Book Of Enoch, can make it challenging to find and maintain a job in our modern world. That challenge has been so daunting as to cause many to stay within the comfort of Satur-day Sabbaths. But to those who have been so persuaded, I give a warning from Messiah Himself....
"He who loves father or mother more than Me, is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me, is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me, is not worthy of Me. He who clings to his life [in this world] will have it taken away from him. He who loses his life because of Me, will have it given back to him." --Matthew 10:37-39
How much are you willing to give up, to follow and obey Yahuwah?? Do you love him more than your job, your money, your pleasures, your spouse, your children and even your very earthly life?! We have brought them the truth regarding His Sabbaths; but they believed us not! If they continue to ignore our warnings; I promise you, they will find themselves on the outside knocking to get in and sadly weep as Messiah says unto them......
"'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you'." --Matthew 25:12
